Facing problems after doing ruqya for friend?
Q0028: As salaamu alaykum,
Acha hope you're well insha Allaah. I started to learn about our beautiful religion when I was 16 and alhamdulilah avoided whatever haraam there was, and there came a time when I tasted the sweetness of emaan and I just wish I could get that back.
I apologise for the long question.... When I was 19 my friend came up to me and ask me to do Ruqya on him and I knew little about it at that time., I had only recited the quls and his face started to change and tongue came out, long story short, I got very scared after that to the extent that I would always have thoughts in my head even when going to the loo.
I had never been scared like that in my whole life, what I don't understand is my emaan at that time was pretty strong but after the incident I became very scared and wouldn't even sleep properly during nights.
Thing is I have fallen in to haraam (namely pornography) before marriage ( which took place a year ago) I would pray my salawat in in masjid but now I've become lazy, sometimes I get dreams of Insects biting me or chasing me, sometimes wasps chasing and recently some tiny insects were coming on my body. When alone during night I feel scared and have a lot of thoughts and can't sleep on properly.
I feel depressed and have no hope and also f el like a failure in my life. and a lot of times i even think of suicide (but I know I wouldn't do it in sha Allaah never)
Me and my wife relation hasn't been good since we got married.
I have been to XXXX the raqi in London, after Ruqya he said I suffer from the evil eye.
I do wish I didn't exist in this world....sometimes I just want to run far far away from everything....
JazakumaAllaahu khairan

Jazak Allah khair for your question.
The first thing I must say from reading your question is that, even though it was a very noble thing for you to have tried helping your friend by doing ruqya, it was also very naive of you to do so without any duas of protection to protect yourself, family and home. But since you have admitted this mistake I am sure you have learned a difficult lesson.
Secondly the fear that you felt is a natural fear that even raqis feel, when they first begin to do ruqya. This is a natural psychological reaction where the mind exaggerates the problem.
Please read the question here where I have discussed this in more detail and how to overcome this problem of paranoia.
Paranoid about jinns
I know you have been told that you were affected by evil eye, personally I would respectfully would like to disagree. Evil eye is almost always liked to a physical aspect of a person e.g. his or her radiant skin suddenly turns dark or blemished after a person looks at them with envy, wishing that they lose the thing Allah blessed them with.
Although I am in no way qualified to interpret any dreams, some dreams are quite obviously linked to jinn and magic because most people affected, have these types of dreams.
Having read your dreams I can say that the insects represents external jinns (jinns that are outside the body). I have a strong feeling that the brother you did ruqya for had many external jinns which are extracting their revenge on you for doing ruqya on him.
Fortunately the issue of external jinns are relatively easy to resolve, in comparison to jinn possession or magic. Please follow the link below where I've detailed how to remove external jinns from your home and you life insha Allah.
How do I protect my home from jinns?
External jinns can have a severe affect on the family and marital life. They can also give a person waswasah to commit sins. External jinns enjoy haram forms of entertainment. So please avoid all things that are sinful.
Allah's protection does not cover the one who commits sins so be very careful in your day to day life.
Finally make sure you protect yourself every morning and evening.
Morning and evening protection duas
May Allah provide you with a cure and keep your eman firm and reward you with the highest Paradise.
