Is jinn catching allowed

Q0064:  Is Jinn catching allowed? A few raqi's in the Uk claim this is permissible as they only use Quranic verses and there is no shirk involved. Surely it is permitted as to bring an end to sihr causing separation is a good thing. Just in case you are wondering we have tried many other methods including having a raqi come to our house to recite ruqya verses and doing self ruqya
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Wa alaykum as salam.

Jinn catching is supposedly used to bring various jinns that are outside the body of the victim (which have been assigned to harm the victim in some shape or form) into the body of the victim. By doing this the jinn catcher engages in conversation with the "captured" leader jinn and tries to cure/ remove the original jinn possessing the person.

The opinion that I am inclined towards is that it is not allowed and there are many evidences from the Quran and sunnah. Please see the video below for a detailed discussion on this.

I would like to focus on something that is not mentioned in the video and that to expose the so called method of jinn catching.

When you look at what these people do, they claim to be using the power of the Quran to bring the jinn inside the person but this is a type of mistake. You cannot bring a jinn into someones body (that wasn't already there) and then have a chit chat with it and expect it to leave!

Once the jinn is inside the body, the process of removing a jinn would be through authentic ruqya. If the jinn catcher could not remove the first jinn from a person's body how can we believe they can remove the second jinn/ shaytan is presumable the jinn leader.

In essence you cannot cure a person who is poisoned by injecting them with more poison.

I personally believe that all the people who are involved with jinn catching are being deceived and it is a form of delusion. Having spoken to raqis who have attended jinn catching sessions it's common for the jinn catchers to become possessed themselves or open themselves up for possession and this is where it all becomes even more murkier than it already is.

Please avoid raqis who claim to engage in "jinn catching" as there is nothing good that can come out of calling upon a jinn to possess and speak through the victim or allowing oneself to become possessed.

May Allah protect us and guide us to His (swt) Straight Path. Our cure is purely from seeking the Help and Assistance of Allah (swt) and we have no need to seek help or assistance from the jinn.
