What age can a person become a raqi
Q0068: As'sallamu'alikum, How old do you have be to become a Raqi? Jazakullah Khair
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Wa alaykum as salam.
A raqi can be any age from 15 - 80 and even older.
The issue is not really the age but rather maturity, piety and personal situation of the person. If the person sincerely looks at themselves they will know if they have the qualities of a raqi.
Some of these qualities includes, a natural affinity to be inclined towards good and repel evil.
A person who is possessed will, in most cases, have the opposite attributes than those mentioned above so it is strongly advisable for such a person to avoid doing ruqya for women other than for whom they are mahrem (male blood relative/ guardian whom its forbidden to marry e.g father, son, brother etc).
A more detailed answer regarding the qualities of a raqi shall be posted on this website soon.
