Can a possessed person show no signs and appear be normal?
Q0035: Asalamu alaykum.. Can it be possible if one is possessed or sihr on them but they don't have any signs like they look and behave like a normal person ? JZk
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
There are two factors that I know of that contribute towards a possessed person appearing to be normal.
1. A person who may have got possessed while in a state of weakness may then repent to Allah and their eman increased to the point they become strong. In this situation his eman is now strong but he is still possessed.
2. The jinn tries it utmost best to stay hidden and avoid detection.
When both of these factors combine together a person may appear to be normal practicing Muslim to the outside world. However to his own family members he will appear different depending on the signs of possession which vary in intensity. On some days the persons face will be glowing, clear and bright. His character will be good and pleasant. These are the days he made effort to be close to Allah with his actions and his his heart. This is person is a beautiful in reality both inside and out.
On the days where he didn't do his adkhaar (protective duas) properly, or was exposed to some sin, or became weak due to emotional or other psychological reasons such as arguing with his wife, then on those days his family will notice a difference in his appearance and behavior.
He may develop dark rings around his eyes, a grey tinge on his face, or his face might appear to be slightly different in other ways. He will be agitated and in a bad mood. This is because the jinns are ugly and that ugliness manifests on the face and character of a possessed person.
Inside the person there is a turmoil and conflict going on that no one sees. The conflict between good and bad. He gets evil waswasah when he is alone.
He might have nightmares of animals changing them. There are many signs of possession and they show depending on the strength and weakness of the person's eman. For example a man can do itikaaf in the masjid in Ramadhan but on another occasion where his eman is very weak he will feel frightened to go into the exact same masjid.
A person can live his or her life normally even if they are possessed with a jinn. But it requires a huge amount of mental strength and constantly making zikr to keep the jinns weak.
See here for more details about how to conquer the jinn or shaytan.
Practicing brother suffers from strong waswasah.
What can I do to really weaken the jinn inside me? And other multiple related questions.
I wouldn't advise being in this state over a long period of time. If there is no magic involved or anything else preventing the jinn from leaving the body he or she should seek ruqya to remove the jinn. Because the natural state of a Muslim is to be pure, inclined towards worshiping Allah and free from sin. But people who are possessed struggle so much, against their own nafs and desires.
Shaytan gives them the thought "what's the point in trying you're going to go back to committing sins anyway" so the person falls into sin and the sin they commit is so bad that it would negate any and all the good deeds they have done.
There are many signs of possession that only a raqi who specializes in the subject can tell. Such as the body language of the person. An average person doesn't know what to look for and therefore these signs will go unnoticed.
If the jinn does not leave on the first ruqya session then it will mean that the person will have to engage in a self ruqya which includes listening to ruqya, have ruqya bath, rubbing ruqya oil on ones body, punishing the jinn by making dhirk of Allah all day etc
During this phase of doing the self ruqya the person will notice subtle movements, limbs shaking, pain, aches, other similar sensations that they might have just previously dismissed as normal bodily functions. Sometimes the shaking can be sever and distressing for a person who doesn't want to attract attention to themselves in public place.
In such situation the person should follow the advice below and try their to stop the shaking.
How do I stop my limbs from shaking?
As far as magic is concerned a person will behave normally but the magic will only be triggered by a specific situation. Such as:
So magic will only be triggered off in specific situations and the person will be normal outside these specific circumstances.
However in majority of the cases where there is magic there will be jinn because its more effective.
Father diagnosed with sihr (magic), can it be jinn related too?

As far as magic is concerned a person will behave normally but the magic will only be triggered by a specific situation. Such as:
- A woman who has had sihr done on her to make her look ugly to the groom and his family will only look ugly when they look at her.
- A wife who has had magic to hate her husband will only react when he tries to show her love or be in the same room as her.
- A man who has had magic on him to prevent him from having intimate relations with his wife would feel aroused but when he approaches his wife he feels lack of desire or is unable to get ready down there.
So magic will only be triggered off in specific situations and the person will be normal outside these specific circumstances.
