Can a female call azan to protect herself at night?
Q0041: Can a female call azan at her home at night to save from shaitan? Is it necessary to close the room after calling azan? As we keep all the doors of our rooms open, only the main exit door of our home is closed. Isn't it enough to close the main exit door and all the windows after calling the azan?
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Wa alaykum as salam.
There is nothing wrong with a woman calling out the azan in her home. Be careful not to call it out too loud that it disturbs the neighbours. Also that it is not beautified so much that it could present a fitna for others.
The important things to note is that we have different weapons to protect ourselves from shaytan. The azan is one of those weapons that can be used for protection. But it has it has it's limitation. The limitation is that the shaytan flees when he hears the azan but comes back once the azan is compete.
I can't see a way how you could use the azan to protect the whole house, especially if you leave all the doors open. It would be better if you read the ayat al Kursi in your home every night and every morning. Or reciting the whole of surah Baqarah if you can.
Please read the following question below and select the most appropriate form of protection suited to your situation.
