Can jinn possession be cured through self-ruqya?
Q0054: Is it permissible to burn sage which is used to 'cleanse' people or rooms. There isn't any shirk involved and but it is supposed to have positive affects naturally.

As far as I am aware there is nothing wrong with burning sage for this purpose. I've checked with my teacher who said it's better to burn white sage. Allah Knows Best.
Jazak Allah khair for your question.

Asalamu alaykum, jazakallahu Khair for answering my question about burnig sage, I wanted to mention that sage is used by non Muslims and on te internet people say on the internet that its used to get rid of negative energy and jinns etc. Is this still ok? Thank you
Wa alaykum as salam.
I wouldn't go as far as to say burning sage will remove jinns but no doubt there are certain things jinn find unpleasant. I haven't had the opportunity to test what effects burning sage would have upon the jinns. The shayateen dislike certain fragrances, such as lavender. This may or may not remove them. I would much rather rely on the Quran and the proven methods of removing jinns from ones house.
How to remove jinns from the house
I know the mushrikeen (polythiests) burn certain incense such as Frankincense to please their gods, do black magic or attract spirits which are very likely to be jinns. So maybe it is better for you to do ruqya on the sage leaves before burning them as an extra measure.
How do I make ruqya water, honey, oil etc
I will try experimenting with sage leaves and update my findings on this question insha Allah
