Jinn taking control and making her do haram while she was asleep
Q0056: I used to phone my husband every single night without a miss the whole 15 yrs of our relationship, I used to tell him I'm going to bed & I remember each time going to bed after telling him, but I don't remember getting back up again & talking to guys on the phone, but phone records show that I have been. I thought I may have some sort of mental disorder maybe bipolar so I was researching on this until my husband caught me checking this up, so he questioned me on it & I told him everything as above & more, he couldn't believe it. Then he himself started to research on it then realised the symptoms I have when asleep or in bed. I make demonic noises when sleeping, sleep paralysis about 4 times a week which I have been always telling him over the past 6 yrs or so, sleep paralysis intensified within the last 3 yrs but stopped as soon as I got married except for a few times over a few months. I started to tell him more stuff which I experienced over the years when in bed. He thought it could be jinn possession, but I didn't believe it at all, I was thinking it is more of some sort of mental disorder. He insisted I see a Raaqi. So a couple of months ago, my husband took me to see a well known raaqi who recited over me. He concluded I have black magic done on me with jinns. I wasn't convinced so he took me to another well known Raaqi, who also said I have black magic done on me. Since then I have been made to listen to Ruqya audio & I apparently react to the verses of magic. I can go on & on but I'll stop now. Questions. 1. What was the mission of black magic/jinns? 2. Who would do it? 3. Why? 4. The above that happened to me over 3 yrs, is it because of magic/jinn possession? 5. Could magic/jinn possession be weakened If I became pregnant soon after marriage? I'm sorry but I had to leave out the detailed description of your situation that you sent in the above question, to prevent the haram things (for which you are not to be blamed) becoming known and causing fitna for anyone who reads this question.
I personally know of a case where a jinn had entered into the body of a brother and would take control of him when he went to sleep. To the extent that he would go about doing day to day mundane tasks but have no recollection of doing them. His wife reported that he would walk up and down the stairs, along the passage for hours and even cook rice in the kitchen.
This was a brother who was weak in his deen. I would do ruqya on him and the jinn would leave but when he is at home again the jinn would possess him again. Usually the entering and exiting process is a painful and difficult one. I advised him the best I could about protecting himself but he would not take heed. You can only help those who want to help themselves. On the above final occasion where he got possessed again it was able to take direct control of his mind and make his do things without hardly any recollection.
This all became too much for the sister so she decided to do ruqya on him. She called me when the jinn manifested and I spoke to the jinn (who claimed to be from Pakistan) then I advised her to squeeze his jugular vain. It was at this point that her husband came back his normal self for a few seconds. I could hear everything in the background.
After the urgent request from the sister, who couldn't bring the situation under control, I decided to go to her house. Once I got there and came into the house, the brother was back to his normal self. He saw me and was so confused and asked why I was at his house so late. I explained that I just spoke to him on the phone 10 minutes ago and I told him I was coming to do ruqya on him,. He started complaining that his wife was an evil woman who was strangling him.
I explained to him that she was doing ruqya on him and his actions were frightening her. But he insisted that the last thing he remembers was going to sleep after work, then he had a bad dream that his wife was strangling him. I asked if she was strangling you in a dream, then it was only a dream how can you accuse her of being evil?
To which he became even more confused.
The reality is that this type of possession can occur but it is very rare. Usually the jinns do not take full control of a person but only tempt them towards sin. This is because if the jinn takes full control then the person is no longer accountable for the sins committed hence forth.
This is similar to being asleep. A person is not accountable for what they say or do in their sleep. Do not be too hard on yourself. But keep up your adkhaar and fear Allah in your life.
